How to Check a Gift Card Balance in Oracle OPERA PMS

Gift card or prepaid card balances can be checked directly within Oracle OPERA PMS. This lets staff confirm the remaining value available on a customer's card during reservation handling.

Before You Begin

  • You must have access to Oracle OPERA Cloud with billing permissions.
  • Have your Cashier ID and PIN ready for billing access.

Step-by-Step: Check a Card Balance in OPERA PMS

  1. Access the Reservation
    From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings → Reservations → Manage Reservation. Search for and open the relevant reservation.

  2. Open Billing
    Within the reservation, click I Want To... and select Billing. If prompted:

    • Select your Cashier ID
    • Enter your PIN
    • Click Login

    The Billing Information screen will appear.

  3. Open Post Redemption
    Click Post Redemption. The Payment Information screen appears.

  4. Select the Card
    Select the relevant billing window, then choose the prepaid or gift card from the list.

  5. Request the Balance
    Click Get Balance. The system sends a request to the vendor and returns the current remaining balance.


What Happens After You Check

The remaining balance on the selected gift or prepaid card is displayed within OPERA PMS. You can use this to inform the customer or proceed with redemption.
