Enable the Camera on Your PAX Device
The camera on the device is used to scan cards and speed up transactions. Should you find this not working as expected then please try the steps below
Step 1: Open device settings
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the menu
- Tap the Settings (gear icon) in the top right
Step 2: Enter password
- When prompted, enter the password: 9876
Step 3: Access scan settings
- In the Settings menu, tap Scan Settings
Step 4: Reset scan settings
- Tap the three dots (top right)
- Select Reset Scan Settings
Step 5: Test the scanner
- Press the button on the left-hand side of the device
- Confirm a red light appears at the top of the device
Result
The scanner is reset and ready to use.
Troubleshooting
- If the scanner is still not working:
- Restart the device
- Try scanning a card again
