How to Add Loyalty Credit on a Poynt Device

Use this guide to add loyalty credit to a customer’s account directly on a Poynt device using the Facilipay Loyalty app. This process ensures customers earn the appropriate rewards for their purchases.

Before You Begin

Make sure your Poynt device has:

  • The Facilipay Loyalty app installed.

  • An active internet connection.

  • Staff permissions to access and update loyalty accounts.


Step-by-Step: Add Loyalty Credit

1. Open the Loyalty App

On the Poynt terminal, open the Loyalty by Facilipay app.

2. Locate the Customer Account

To find the customer’s account:

  • Scan the customer’s QR code using the Poynt scanner, or

  • Enter their loyalty ID manually.

3. Choose to Load Credit

Once the customer’s account appears, you’ll see options such as Load and Redeem:

  • Tap Load to begin adding loyalty credit.

4. Enter the Sale Amount

Input the sale amount that the customer spent. This determines how much loyalty credit is applied based on your configured rewards settings.

5. Complete the Process

After entering the amount:

  • Tap Add or Confirm.

  • The system will calculate and apply the loyalty credit to the customer’s account according to your reward configuration.

6. Finalise the Transaction

Once the credit is added, continue and close out the sale on the Poynt terminal as usual.
