How to Check a Gift Card Balance in Facilipay on Clover POS

Use this guide to check the balance of a customer’s gift card directly on your Clover point-of-sale (POS) system using Facilipay. This process lets you quickly view how much value remains on a gift card before completing a sale or assisting a customer.

Step-by-Step: Check a Gift Card Balance on Clover

1. Open the Gift Cards App

On your Clover device, open the Gift Cards by Facilipay app.

2. Select the Scan or Manual Entry Option

Within the app:

  • Choose the QR Scan option to scan the customer’s gift card QR code, or

  • Enter the gift card number manually if scanning isn’t available.

3. View the Balance

Once the gift card is scanned or entered, the customer’s account will load and display:

  • The current gift card balance on the screen (typically shown in the top right).

You can now inform the customer of the gift card’s available balance.

Additional Ways to Check Balance

Depending on your POS or supported device type, you may also be able to:

  • Swipe the card’s magnetic strip if your device supports it and the card has one.

  • Enter the gift card number manually if the QR code is not accessible or scannable.

  • The gift card balance will remain unchanged until a redemption or load action is completed.
