How to Check a Gift Card Balance on Poynt

Check a Gift Card Balance on a PAX or GoDaddy / Poynt Terminal

Open the Gift Card App
On your Poynt POS terminal, open the Gift Cards by Facilipay app.
Identify the Card
You can check the balance by:
- Scanning the gift card QR code,
- Swiping the magnetic stripe (if supported), or
- Typing in the card’s 8-digit ID.
Select “Load” or “Check Balance”
After the card is recognised, choose the option to view the balance — often shown on a screen labelled Load or Redeem.
Read the Current Balance
The balance will display on screen. You can then proceed with a sale or exit the screen when finished.

Verify the Card Credentials: Always confirm you’re scanning or entering the correct card so you view the correct balance.
Suggest the Mobile App: Customers can also link their gift card in the Facilipay mobile app to view their balance and transaction history on their phone.
Check Before Sale: It’s good practice to check the balance before attempting to redeem funds so you know if the gift card covers the sale amount.

You can quickly check the remaining balance on a Facilipay gift card at your point-of-sale device. Whether you’re using a Poynt, or another supported terminal, the Gift Card app lets you view the current balance before completing a transaction.
