How to Divide a Gift Card balance across multiple cards

Before you begin

• Access the Merchant Web App at: merchant.loylap.com
• Log in using your Facilipay Dashboard credentials
• Confirm how much balance the customer wants to transfer

Option 1: Split to a Digital Gift Card

Step 1: Reduce the original card balance

1. Locate the customer’s existing gift card
2. Redeem or deduct the amount you want to transfer

Note: This leaves the remaining balance on the original card.

Step 2: Create a new digital gift card

1. Collect the recipient’s:
   • Name
   • Email address
2. Create a new digital gift card
3. Add the transferred amount to the new card

Result

The balance is split between:

• The original card (remaining balance)
• The new digital gift card

Option 2: Split to a Physical Gift Card

Step 1: Reduce the original card balance

1. Locate the existing gift card
2. Redeem or deduct the amount to transfer

Step 2: Load a new physical card

1. Take a new physical gift card
2. Add the transferred balance to the card

Result

The balance is split between:

• The original card
• The new physical gift card

Tip

• Always confirm the transfer amount with the customer before processing
• Ensure the correct recipient details are used for digital cards
