How to Exit the Self-Checkout App
If you're using the Facilipay Self-Checkout app on a Clover POS device and need to exit back into regular merchant-facing mode, there's a simple gesture to close the self-checkout interface and return to the main Clover screen.
Before You Begin
- You must have access to the Clover device displaying the Self-Checkout app.
When You Might Need This
You may need to exit the Self-Checkout app when:
- A staff member needs to access the Clover POS home screen.
- You want to switch tasks (e.g. perform a refund, view reports, or assist a customer).
- The kiosk or checkout needs maintenance or admin access.
Step-by-Step: Exit the Self-Checkout App
Look at the Self-Checkout Screen
Make sure the device is displaying the Facilipay Self-Checkout interface.Tap All Four Corners of the Screen Simultaneously
Using your fingers, tap each corner of the screen at the same time — top-left, top-right, bottom-left, and bottom-right.Return to Merchant Mode
After tapping all four corners, the Self-Checkout app closes, and the device reverts back to the merchant-facing Clover POS screen.
Re-Entering Self-Checkout Mode
To reopen the Self-Checkout app, tap the Self-Checkout app icon on the Clover home screen. This takes you back into the self-service interface for customers.

Teach staff the gesture: Train your team how to exit self-checkout quickly so they can troubleshoot or assist customers faster.
