How to Look Up a Customer
Find a customer's account in the Facilipay Merchant App or Cashless interface. You can search by card scan, name, email, or account number to access customer details, view balances, and apply payments or rewards.
Before You Begin
- You must have access to the Facilipay Merchant App or Cashless interface on your POS device.
- Have at least one piece of customer information available (card, name, email, or phone).
When You Might Use This
Look up a customer when:
- You need to find their account for a payment, refund, or loyalty reward.
- A customer has forgotten their card, email, or phone number.
- You need to view or update customer account details.
Step-by-Step: Look Up a Customer
Tap the Customer Search Field
Open the Facilipay Merchant App or Cashless interface on your POS device. Tap the search field or the customer icon to begin.Scan the Customer's Card (If Available)
If the customer has their physical or digital card:- Tap Scan QR Code or present the card's QR code to the scanner/camera.
- The system automatically identifies the customer's account.
Use the Search Function
If the customer doesn't have their card, search manually:- Toggle Search Type: Switch between Account Number, Name, or Email Address
- Enter the customer detail you have into the search field
- Tap Search
- The system displays matching results — tap the correct customer to open their account
What You Can Do After Lookup
- View current gift card balance, loyalty balance, or cashless linked funds.
- Apply payments, rewards, or refunds.
- Edit or update details like contact information (if supported).
- Access transaction history for reporting or customer service purposes.
Tips & Best Practices
Use scanning first: Scanning a QR or barcode is the quickest and most accurate way to locate a customer account.
Verify before selecting: When multiple matches appear, confirm you've selected the correct customer.
Encourage profile updates: Encourage customers to save their email or phone number for easier lookup next time.
