How to Restrict Online Orders to ASAP Only
By default, table ordering on Facilipay’s online menu is configured so that customers can place orders for as soon as possible (ASAP) delivery to their table. If you do not enable scheduling, orders remain restricted to immediate fulfillment.
What This Means
When your online ordering menu is restricted without a date/time selector:
-
Customers can only choose ASAP delivery or pickup — they cannot select a future time.
-
This simplifies the ordering process when real-time service is expected (e.g., table service or in-venue ordering).
How It Works
By default:
-
The ordering interface does not show a date/time selection field.
-
Customers proceed straight to browsing the menu and adding items based on current availability.
-
This ensures orders are placed and prepared immediately, which works well for onsite table or pick-up orders.
Enable Scheduling (Optional)
If you want customers to order for a future time — for example, reserved pickup or delivery later in the day — you can enable a date/time selector for your online ordering page.
To do this, you’ll need to contact Facilipay Support by emailing:
Ask them to enable the calendar/ordering time selector for your business’s online ordering interface.
Once enabled:
-
Customers will see a date/time picker when placing online orders.
-
They can select a specific collection or delivery time in advance.
Tips & Best Practices
-
Keep ASAP mode when appropriate: If you primarily serve customers in real time (in-venue), restricting orders to ASAP simplifies the process.
-
Enable scheduling for busy periods: Offering future time slots can help avoid order congestion during peak service times.
