How to Sell a Physical Gift Card Using the Facilipay Merchant App
This article explains how to sell or load value onto a physical gift card using the Facilipay Merchant App (web or mobile). You can register the card, link it to a customer (optional), and load the desired amount for sale.
Before You Begin
✔ You must have access to the Facilipay Merchant App (desktop or mobile).
✔ Make sure the physical gift card’s card number is available — this is typically printed on the back of the card below the QR code.
✔ A payment method (POS or payment terminal) must be used to collect the funds for the gift card sale.
Step-by-Step: Sell a Physical Gift Card
1. Open the Merchant App
Sign in to the Facilipay Merchant App in your web browser at merchant.facilipay.io or open the app on your tablet or smartphone.
2. Search for the Gift Card
In the search field:

Switch the toggle (if available) to search by card number.

Enter the physical card number printed on the back of the card.

Tap or click Search to locate the card.
3. Register the Card to a Customer (Optional)
If you’d like the gift card to be linked to a customer profile:

Enter the customer’s name and email address.

Tap Register to associate the card with that customer account.

This makes it easier to track balances and send notifications later.

Tip: Registering the card is optional — you can sell the gift card without linking it to a customer if preferred.
4. Load Value onto the Card

After locating or registering the card, select the Gift or Load Gift Card option.

Enter the amount the customer wants to load onto the physical gift card.

Tap Add or Confirm to apply the value to the card.

You’ll see a preview of the card’s balance before completing the action.

5. Take Payment
Once the value is loaded in the app:

Collect payment using your POS machine, payment terminal, or offline method.

The physical card is now ready for the customer to use or redeem.
