How to Sync Your PAX Terminal
If your PAX payment terminal isn’t behaving as expected — such as not showing recent account changes or failing to connect properly with the Facilipay system — you may need to sync it. Syncing forces the terminal to refresh its connection and pick up any updates from your Facilipay account.
What Syncing Does
Syncing your PAX terminal will:
-
Refresh its connection to the Facilipay system
-
Pull in the latest configuration or account updates
-
Help troubleshoot issues like transaction errors or communication problems
-
Reset the terminal’s connection state without a full reboot
How to Sync Your PAX Terminal
-
Open the Facilipay App on Your PAX Device
Ensure the Facilipay app is open and visible on the screen. -
Go to Settings
Tap Settings at the bottom of the Facilipay app’s screen. -
Select Sync
In the Settings menu, tap Sync. A confirmation message will briefly display indicating that logs have been submitted. -
Wait for Completion
After the sync completes, the terminal will have pulled the latest updates from the Facilipay system. If you were having issues before, try processing the transaction again.
Tips After Syncing
-
Restart the Terminal if Needed: If issues persist after syncing, try a power-cycle reboot (turn the device off and back on) to fully refresh network connections.
-
Check Wi-Fi/Internet: Ensure your terminal has a strong, stable network connection — terminals need internet access to communicate with Facilipay servers.
-
Test a Transaction: After syncing, place a quick test payment or card read to confirm the terminal is functioning correctly.
-
Contact Support: If syncing doesn’t resolve the issue, contact Facilipay Support with details including what you tried and any error messages.
When to Sync Your PAX Terminal
Syncing is useful when:
✔ Changes have been made to your Facilipay account settings.
✔ The terminal hasn’t updated recent configuration changes.
✔ Transaction processing or connectivity seems slow or inconsistent.
✔ You’re troubleshooting connection issues before contacting support.
