Order Ahead Notifications on Clover
When Order Ahead is configured on your primary Clover device, you receive notifications for every new incoming order so staff can react quickly during service.
Incoming Order Alerts
For each new online order:
- A visual alert appears on the Clover device.
- A bell sound plays to signal the incoming order.
This ensures staff are immediately aware of new orders.
Manual Order Acceptance (If Enabled)
If Automatically Accept All Orders is turned off:
- A pop-up notification appears on screen for every incoming order.
- Staff must manually accept or manage the order from the prompt.
(Refer to the relevant guide to enable or disable automatic order acceptance.)
What Happens Next
Your Clover device notifies you of all incoming Order Ahead transactions, either automatically processing them or prompting manual acceptance depending on your configuration.
Tips & Best Practices
Volume matters: Set the device volume high enough that staff can hear the bell during busy service.
Position thoughtfully: Place the Clover device where staff are likely to see and hear notifications quickly.
