Process a Gift Card Refund
Gift Card transactions can be refunded directly through the Register app by accessing the original order and selecting the appropriate payment type for refund.
Resolution
1) Open Orders
On your POS device, open the Register app.
Select Orders.
2) Locate the Transaction
Find and select the transaction you wish to refund.
Once opened, select Exchange / Refund.
3) Select Refund Payment
Tap Refund Payment.
You will see a breakdown of the payment methods used in the original transaction.
4) Select the Gift Card Payment
From the list of payment types, select:
Gift Card by Facilipay
This ensures the refund is processed back to the original gift card.
5) Confirm Refund
Review the transaction details carefully.
When ready, select Refund.
When prompted for the refund method, choose:
Gift Card by Facilipay
Result
The gift card transaction is successfully refunded, and the funds are returned to the original gift card balance.
