Processing a Gift Card Refund
Gift Card transactions can be refunded through the Register app by accessing the original order and selecting the Gift Card payment method for refund.
Resolution
1) Open Orders
On your POS device, open the Register app.
Select Orders.
2) Locate the Transaction
Select the transaction you want to refund.
Once the order is open, tap Exchange / Refund.
3) Select Refund Payment
Tap Refund Payment.
You will see a breakdown of all payment types used in the transaction.
4) Choose the Gift Card Payment
From the list of payment methods, select:
Gift Card by Facilipay
This ensures the refund is returned to the original gift card.
5) Confirm the Refund
Review the transaction details carefully.
When ready, tap Refund.
When prompted for the refund method, select:
Gift Card by Facilipay
Result
The gift card transaction is successfully refunded, and the balance is returned to the original gift card.
