Redeem a Gift Card in Oracle OPERA PMS
Gift Cards or prepaid cards can be redeemed directly within Oracle OPERA PMS. The redemption amount must not exceed the available card balance or the folio balance.
Important

The redemption amount must be equal to or less than the card balance.

The redemption amount must not exceed the folio balance.
Resolution
1) Access the Reservation
From the OPERA Cloud menu, select:
Bookings → Reservations → Manage Reservation
Search for and open the relevant reservation.
2) Open Billing
Click I Want To… and select Billing.
If prompted:

Select your Cashier ID

Enter your PIN

Click Login
The Billing Information screen will appear.
3) Open Post Redemption
Click Post Redemption.
The Payment Information screen will display.
4) Select the Billing Window
Choose the appropriate billing window where the redemption should be applied.
5) Retrieve Card Balance
Select the prepaid or gift card from the list.
Click Get Balance to retrieve the current balance from the vendor.
6) Enter Redemption Amount
In the Amount to Redeem field:

Enter the amount to apply to the folio

Ensure the amount does not exceed the card balance
Click Redeem to post the payment.
Result
The specified amount is successfully redeemed from the Gift Card and applied to the reservation folio.
