How to Scan a QR Code on Clover

To ensure successful QR code scanning on your Clover device:

Clear line of sight: Make sure there are no obstructions between the QR code and the Clover camera.
Good lighting: Ensure sufficient lighting at the till. The built-in camera follows standard camera behaviour and may not scan well in low light.
Network connectivity: Confirm your Clover device is connected to the network so it can retrieve and display customer details after scanning.

Open the Relevant Facilipay App on Clover
Launch the Facilipay app (such as Loyalty or Gift Cards) on your Clover POS where the QR scan option is available.
Present the QR Code to the Clover Camera
Hold the customer's QR code — either on their phone screen or printed on a physical card — in front of the built-in camera.
Align and Scan
Position the QR code in the camera's line of sight. Tilt or adjust the card if needed until the system recognises it. Once scanned, the customer's details should appear instantly on the Clover screen.

The customer's account information populates automatically in the Facilipay app.
You can proceed with loyalty points, gift card transactions, or other linked actions depending on the module you are using.

External QR scanner: If your Clover's built-in camera doesn't perform well due to lighting or angle, connect a USB QR scanner as an alternative.
Consistent placement: Encourage customers to hold their QR codes steady and centred in front of the camera for faster recognition.
