Self Checkout Modes
The Facilipay Self Checkout App supports multiple modes to best suit your business requirements — from full self-service ordering to scan-and-go and donation collection.
Before You Begin
- You must have the Facilipay Self Checkout App installed on your Clover device.
- Decide which mode best suits your business operations before configuring.
Order & Collect
Best suited for fully unattended environments, this mode allows 100% self-service ordering from the Clover device. This is the default mode when the app is first installed.
Customers will see a branded welcome screen. After selecting "Let's Go", they can:
- Browse categories listed on the left-hand side
- View items within the selected category
- Select items and apply any configured modifiers
Once finished, customers can:
- Review their order
- Edit items if required
- Proceed to payment
Payment can be completed using:
- Card
- Facilipay account balance
After successful payment, the order confirmation screen displays.
Scan & Go
Ideal for office canteens or retail outlets. This mode turns the Clover device into an unattended scanner, allowing customers to:
- Scan items into a basket
- Review their selected items
- Pay using card or Facilipay account
This provides a fast and efficient self-checkout experience.
Donations Mode
Designed for cashless donation collection. This mode displays:
- Preset donation amounts
- A custom amount option
Customers can select an amount and complete payment using card or Facilipay balance.

Choosing the Right Mode
Your Clover device can operate in the Self Checkout mode that best suits your business — Order & Collect, Scan & Go, or Donations Mode.
Tips & Best Practices
Match mode to environment: Order & Collect suits restaurants; Scan & Go suits retail; Donations suits charities or events.
Train staff: Even unattended setups need staff trained on how to help customers and handle issues.
