Load / Selling a Gift Card on Clover
Learn how to sell a gift card using your Facilipay and Clover Register setup. Selling gift cards works just like selling any other product in your store.
Before You Begin
Ensure the Facilipay Gift Cards app is installed and active on your Clover device. You must be logged in and have the appropriate permissions to process gift card sales.
How It Works
When you sell a gift card:

You select the gift card item just like a regular product in your register.

Enter the amount the customer wants to load onto the card.

Process the payment.

The customer’s gift card balance is updated automatically once payment is successful.
Step-by-Step: Sell a Gift Card on Clover Register
Follow these steps to sell a gift card:
1. Open the Register App
On your Clover home screen, tap the Register app to begin a sale.
2. Select “Gift Card by Facilipay”
In your product categories, locate and select Gift Card by Facilipay.
This category only appears if the Facilipay Gift Cards app is installed and registered on your device.
3. Enter the Gift Card Value
A dialog box will appear. Enter the monetary value the customer would like to load onto the gift card and tap Set Price.
4. The Facilipay Gift Cards App Opens
After setting the price, the Facilipay Gift Cards app will open automatically.
5. Scan or Enter the Card Number
Use the QR code scanner to scan the physical card, or manually enter the card number printed on the back of the card.
6. Complete the Sale
You will be redirected back to the Register app. A confirmation message such as “Gift transaction processed!” will briefly appear.
Select the customer’s payment method (e.g. card, cash) and complete the transaction as normal.
7. Balance Update and Notifications
Once payment is successful:

The gift card balance updates automatically.

If the customer has registered their email, they will receive a confirmation notification for their account.
Tips & Best Practices

Check App Installation
The Gift Card by Facilipay category will only appear if the Facilipay Gift Cards app has been properly installed and activated. -
Verify Card Details Carefully
Always scan the QR code where possible to avoid manual entry errors. -
Confirm Payment Completion
The gift card balance is only loaded after the transaction has been successfully completed. -
Encourage Email Registration
Customers who register their email will receive automatic balance updates and confirmations.
After the Sale
Once the transaction is complete:

The gift card balance is available immediately.

The card can be redeemed according to your store’s gift card terms and conditions.
