How to Set a Voucher as Single-Use or Multi-Use

Configure whether a voucher is single-use (redeemable for a specific product or service) or multi-use (redeemable against any purchase). This setting affects how the voucher is redeemed and how it's treated in tax reporting.

Before You Begin

  • You must be logged into the Facilipay Business Portal with admin access.
  • The Experience Voucher product must already exist.

Step-by-Step: Configure Voucher Type

  1. Log In to the Business Portal
Log in to the Facilipay Business Portal.

  2. Open Products
    Navigate to Inventory > Products.

  3. Find the Voucher
Locate the Experience Voucher you want to configure. Use the search bar to find the product.

  4. Open Product Details
Click the voucher to open the Product Details page.

  5. Find "Is It a Revenue Based Product?"
Find the field "Is it a Revenue Based Product?".

  6. Select the Appropriate Option

    1. Yes: The voucher is a Single-Use Voucher (redeemable for a specific product or service, e.g. Afternoon Tea).
    2. No: The voucher is a Multi-Use Voucher (redeemable for any amount or purchase).
  7. Save Changes
Click Save to apply the changes.

Important Note

For experience-based vouchers designed for a specific service (e.g. spa treatment, dinner package), ensure "Is monetary" is not selected and Revenue Based Product = Yes.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Match to product: Single-use makes sense for specific experiences; multi-use works for general gift cards.

  • Tax implications: Voucher type affects VAT treatment — check with your accountant.
