Set Advanced Rules on Bundles
Advanced rules allow you to control how and when Bundles can be redeemed. You can limit redemptions per order, restrict usage within specific time periods, and set expiry dates on purchased Bundles. Note – For instructions on creating a new Bundle, refer to the article: How to Create a Bundle.
1) Set Maximum Items Redeemable Per Order
You can limit how many items from a Bundle can be redeemed in a single transaction.
This is useful if you want to encourage repeat visits rather than allowing customers to redeem the full Bundle at once.
Example:
If you offer 10 Coffees for £30, you may want to restrict customers to redeeming 1 coffee per order.
To configure this:
- Locate the Max Redeemed Items Per Order field.
- Enter the maximum number allowed (e.g. 1).
2) Limit Redemptions Within a Time Period
You can also restrict how often items can be redeemed within a specific timeframe.
Available options typically include:
- Hourly
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
Example:
If you want customers to redeem no more than 2 coffees per day, select:
- Daily
- Enter 2 in the quantity field
You can adjust both the time period and the number of allowed redemptions to suit your business requirements.
3) Set an Expiration Date for the Bundle
Advanced rules also allow you to define how long customers have to redeem their Bundle before it expires.
You can choose:
- A rolling expiry (e.g. after a number of days, months, or years)
- A fixed expiration date
Example (Rolling Expiry):
To expire a Bundle 3 months after purchase, select:
- Months
- Enter 3
Example (Fixed Date):
Select Fixed Date and choose a specific date from the calendar.
4) Save Your Changes
After configuring your Advanced rules:
Click Update at the bottom right of the screen to save your changes.
Result
Your Bundle Advanced Rules are successfully configured, allowing you to control redemption limits, frequency, and expiry settings.
