How to Set Up Your DT60 & DT50 Scanners
Follow these steps to configure your DT60 or DT50 scanner for QR code scanning with Facilipay on a Clover device.
Before You Begin
- You must have the DT60 or DT50 scanner and its USB cable.
- Your Clover device must be powered on and accessible.
Step-by-Step: Configure the Scanner
Connect the Scanner
Connect the QR code scanner to your Clover device via USB. Depending on your Clover model, the USB port will be located:- At the bottom of the printer, or
- In the connection hub attached to the device
Important — Clover Station V1: If using a Clover Station V1, a prompt will appear when the scanner is connected. Select "This is not a printer" to ensure the scanner functions correctly and prevents the on-screen keyboard from being disabled.
Test the Scanner
The scanner should automatically power on and be ready to scan Facilipay QR codes. To test:- Open one of the Facilipay apps on the Clover device.
- Tap QR Scan.
- Scan a QR code from a physical gift card, the Facilipay mobile app, or an Apple Watch.
The Clover device should automatically recognise the scan and retrieve the associated customer account.
Troubleshooting
If the scanner does not recognise the QR code:
- Disconnect the USB cable.
- Reconnect the scanner to the Clover device.
If the issue persists, reset the scanner by scanning the configuration QR codes in the following order:
- Start / End
- Set Suffix
- Set All Codes
- Enter
- Enter
- Start / End
Scan each code in sequence to complete the reset.
Tips & Best Practices
Keep the configuration sheet handy: Save the configuration QR codes in a safe place for future troubleshooting.
Power-cycle if needed: If issues persist after reset, disconnect, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect the scanner.
