How to Set Up Clover Label Printing for Facilipay Orders
Set up label printing on your Clover POS so orders — including online orders placed via Facilipay — print to the right printers (e.g. kitchen, bar). Clover uses labels to determine which printer should receive specific items.
Before You Begin
- Ensure your Clover device is connected to the same network as your external printers.
- All relevant printers should be installed and visible in the Clover Printers app.
What Label Printing Does
- Send specific items to specific printers — for example, drinks to the bar and food to the kitchen.
- Control printing by product category or type using labels you assign.
- Manage printing for orders taken on-site and orders received through Facilipay online ordering.
Step-by-Step: Set Up Label Printing
Connect Printers to Clover
- On your Clover POS home screen, open the Printers app.
- Confirm your printers (e.g. kitchen, bar) are listed.
- If not listed, tap Add + and select the printer type to connect.
- Complete any setup prompts so each printer is online and ready.
Assign Labels to Products
- Go to your Inventory in the Clover dashboard (or POS).
- Find the product you want to configure.
- Assign a label (e.g. Kitchen, Bar) to that product. Labels tell the system which printer should receive the item.
- Save your changes.
Example:
- Drinks → Bar label
- Hot food → Kitchen label
Enable Label Printing in the Ordering App
- Open your Order Ahead app on Clover.
- Tap the three dots in the top right and choose Preferences.
- Scroll to Print by Clover Label and enable it.
- If you also want full receipts printed with customer information, ensure Send Orders to Printer is enabled.
If you only want item labels printed (without full receipts), keep Send Orders to Printer disabled and only enable Print by Clover Label.
What Happens After You Set Up
Orders processed through Facilipay online ordering or in-store via Clover route the correct items to the appropriate printers based on label assignments. Kitchen and service staff can act on printed orders immediately, improving order accuracy and workflow.
Tips & Best Practices
Test each printer: After setup, place a test order to confirm items print to the correct device.
Keep labels consistent: Use intuitive label names so staff know where items will print.
Network stability: Keep all printers and your Clover device on the same reliable network.
