Tablet Ordering - External Printer Compatibility & Setup (Internet)

Get a printer connected to your tablet so the staff in store can be notified and manage the online orders they receive

Before you begin

  • Ensure your printer is connected to the same WiFi or local network as your tablet
  • Turn the printer on
  • LAN connection is recommended for best performance

Note: Facilipay primarily supports Star Micronics printers (e.g. mC-Print3). Other printers may work, but compatibility is not guaranteed.


Supported printer example


Step 1: Open the app

  1. Open the Order Ahead app on your tablet

Step 2: Access printer settings

  1. Tap the three dots (top right)
  2. Select Preferences

Step 3: Add a printer

  1. Scroll to Printer Management
  2. Tap Add a printer

Step 4: Select connection type

  1. Choose Local Area Network (LAN)

Step 5: Select your printer

  1. Choose your printer from the list

Result

Your printer is connected and ready to print orders.


Alternative connection (optional)

  • If supported by your tablet, you can connect via Bluetooth
  • However, a LAN connection is recommended for reliability
