Tablet Ordering: External Printer Setup via Bluetooth

Connect a Bluetooth-compatible printer to your tablet so online orders can be printed automatically when received. Facilipay primarily supports Star Micronics printers, though other models may work.

Before You Begin

  • Ensure your printer supports Bluetooth connectivity.
  • Turn the printer on.
  • Pair the printer with your tablet using the device's Bluetooth settings.

Note: Facilipay primarily supports Star Micronics printers (e.g. mC-Print3). Other printers may work, but compatibility is not guaranteed. A LAN connection is recommended for best reliability.

Step-by-Step: Connect a Bluetooth Printer

  1. Pair the Printer

    • Open your tablet's Bluetooth settings
    • Select your printer from the available devices
    • Confirm the connection
  2. Open the App
    Open the Order Ahead app.

  3. Access Printer Settings
    Tap the three dots in the top right and select Preferences.

  4. Add a Printer
    Scroll to Printer Management and tap Add a printer.

  5. Select Bluetooth Printer
    Choose Bluetooth from the options, then select your printer from the list.


What Happens After You Connect

Your Bluetooth printer is connected and ready to print orders as they're received in the Order Ahead app.


Tips & Best Practices

  • Prefer LAN if available: A wired connection is more reliable for high-volume printing.

  • If the printer doesn't appear: Ensure it is paired correctly in your tablet's Bluetooth settings before retrying.

  • Keep firmware updated: Star Micronics printer firmware updates can improve compatibility.
