Tablet Ordering: External Printer Compatibility & Setup (Bluetooth)

Online ordering on tablet can use external printers connected on the same network as the tablet via Bluetooth. This guide explains how to set this up.

Before You Begin

  • Ensure your printer supports Bluetooth.
  • Turn the printer on.
  • Pair the printer with your tablet via Bluetooth settings.

Note: Facilipay primarily supports Star Micronics printers (e.g. mC-Print3). Other printers may work, but compatibility is not guaranteed.

Step-by-Step: Connect via Bluetooth

  1. Pair the Printer

    • Open your tablet's Bluetooth settings
    • Select your printer from available devices
    • Confirm the connection
  2. Open the App
    Open the Order Ahead app on your tablet.

  3. Access Printer Settings
    Tap the three dots in the top right and select Preferences.

  4. Add a Printer
    Scroll to Printer Management and tap Add a printer.

  5. Select Bluetooth Printer
    Choose Bluetooth, then select your printer from the list.


What Happens After You Connect

Your printer is connected and ready to print orders.


Tips & Best Practices

  • If the printer doesn't appear: Ensure it is properly paired in your tablet's Bluetooth settings before retrying.

  • Keep the tablet near the printer: Bluetooth range is limited — reliability drops when the tablet is far from the printer.
