Direct Debit Link Won't Open as a Payment Method
Our direct debit service, GoCardless, requires that your sensitive bank information be entered on a separate page that opens as a pop-up. If this pop-up is not appearing, you are most likely using a Mac with the Safari browser, which blocks pop-ups by default.
Why This Happens
Safari on macOS blocks pop-ups by default for security reasons. Because the GoCardless direct debit form opens in a pop-up window, the link can appear unresponsive when you click it.
Step-by-Step: Allow the Pop-Up
Click the Direct Debit Link
From the Facilipay Dashboard, click the link to create the Direct Debit. Although nothing visible may happen, Safari has detected the blocked pop-up.Click the Card Icon in the Search Bar
Look for an icon in the Safari search bar that resembles a small card — this indicates a blocked pop-up. Click it to open the GoCardless form.Complete the Direct Debit Form
Once the pop-up appears, fill in your bank details to set up the direct debit as normal.

Try a different browser: If you continue to experience issues with Safari, you can use Chrome, Firefox, or Edge to set up direct debit instead.
