How to Transfer Your Gift Cards to Facilipay

Have a seamless transfer and get up and running faster by importing your existing customer base directly into Facilipay on PAX. This guide walks you through the data export, fees, and what to expect.

Before You Begin

  • You'll need access to your existing gift card provider's portal or support team to export data.
  • You should have your sales representative's contact details ready for transaction fee discussions.

Step-by-Step: Transfer Your Gift Cards

  1. Export Data from Your Current Provider
    Export the data from your current provider. This should be available via an online portal they offer or can be requested from their support team. The information we need:

    • Card numbers
    • Balance associated with each card
    • Date the cards will be transferred

    We accept this data in either .xls or .csv format.

  2. Pay the Import Fee
    The import fee must be paid prior to the data transfer being completed. Pricing details are available below:

    Once paid, we can complete the transfer of cards that have a balance.

    Note: We only transfer cards with a balance — cards with a zero balance are not migrated.

  3. Review Transaction Fees
    There may be transaction fees associated with these card loads, as they're treated as top-ups within our system. Discuss this with your sales representative who can confirm fees prior to completing the transfer.


What Happens After the Transfer

Once the import is complete, your customer balances are live in Facilipay. Customers can use their existing card numbers to redeem balances at your locations.

  • Communicate the change: Let customers know about the migration so they understand any changes in card behaviour.

  • Verify the import: Spot-check a few customer balances after import to confirm the transfer was accurate.
