How to Navigate the Facilipay Starter Onboarding
The Starter Onboarding environment in the Facilipay Business Portal helps new merchants complete all the essential setup steps so your business can start transacting quickly. Each required task is laid out on one page with progress indicators so you know exactly what needs attention next. You can also skip steps and complete them later if needed.
What to Expect in Starter Onboarding
The onboarding process is designed to walk you through key account and business setup tasks in a logical order. Here’s what you’ll typically be asked to complete:
Step-by-Step: Starter Onboarding Tasks
1. Design Your App Space
Upload your business logo and an optional cover image. These visuals help brand your business within the Facilipay customer app so customers easily recognise you.
2. Add Employees
By default the account owner is added as the first admin. Here you can add other team members by entering their work email addresses so they can access Facilipay features relevant to their role.
3. Configure Your Business Location
Add your business address and location details. This helps customers find you easily inside the Facilipay app using GPS or search.
4. Set Up Your Payment Method
You’ll be prompted to enter an active payment method — such as a debit/credit card or a direct debit mandate — so you can pay Facilipay invoices and process transactions.
5. Set Up Your Loyalty Program
Starter plans include standard loyalty features. This step helps you configure your rewards program, so customers can earn and redeem loyalty points.
6. Create Campaigns
Campaigns let you build and schedule special offers (e.g., Free coffee on your birthday, or Buy 3 get 1 free). You can target customers with personalised incentives from within the portal.
7. Create a Card Design
If you’re planning to sell physical gift cards, upload or create a branded card design. You have multiple options — design it yourself with the built-in tool, upload an existing design, or commission a professional one.
8. Order Gift Cards
Once your design is saved, you can order printed gift cards directly through the Business Portal. This step lets you choose quantities and production preferences.
Skip or Return to Steps as Needed
If you’re not ready to complete every task immediately, you can choose “Complete this later” at any time. Your progress will be saved so you can return to unfinished steps from the onboarding page.
