How to Navigate the Facilipay Starter Onboarding

The Starter Onboarding environment in the Facilipay Business Portal walks you through the essential setup steps so your business can start transacting quickly. Each task is laid out on a single page with progress indicators, and steps can be completed in any order or saved for later.

Before You Begin

  • You must be logged into the Facilipay Business Portal as the account owner or an admin.
  • Have your business details, branding assets, and payment information ready before you begin.

Starter Onboarding Tasks

The onboarding flow guides you through key account and business setup tasks in a logical order. Below is what you can expect at each stage.

  1. Design Your App Space
    Upload your business logo and an optional cover image. These visuals brand your business inside the Facilipay customer app, making it easy for customers to recognise you.

  2. Add Employees
    The account owner is added as the first admin by default. From here you can invite other team members by entering their work email addresses, giving them access to the features relevant to their role.

  3. Configure Your Business Location
    Add your business address and location details. This helps customers find you easily inside the Facilipay app via GPS and search.

  4. Set Up Your Payment Method
    Enter an active payment method — a debit/credit card or a direct debit mandate — so you can pay Facilipay invoices and process transactions.

  5. Set Up Your Loyalty Programme
    Starter plans include standard loyalty features. Use this step to configure your rewards programme so customers can start earning and redeeming loyalty points.

  6. Create Campaigns
    Campaigns let you build and schedule special offers (for example, "free coffee on your birthday" or "buy 3, get 1 free"). You can target customers with personalised incentives directly from the portal.

  7. Create a Card Design
    If you plan to sell physical gift cards, upload or create a branded card design. You can design it yourself with the built-in tool, upload an existing design, or commission a professional one.

  8. Order Gift Cards
    Once your design is saved, order printed gift cards directly through the Business Portal. You can choose quantities and production preferences.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Use accurate business details: Your name, address, and branding will appear in customer-facing areas of the Facilipay app.

  • Add team members early: Give access to staff who will manage orders, loyalty, or gift card redemption from day one.

  • Complete payment setup: You cannot process transactions or pay invoices without a valid payment method.

  • Plan campaigns ahead: Preparing loyalty and promotional campaigns early helps you engage customers from your first day live.
