How to Set Up Your Zebra DS2208 to Scan Facilipay QR Codes

You must have a Zebra DS2208 scanner and the matching USB cable.
You need access to the configuration barcodes for Factory Defaults and QR Code Configuration.
The Facilipay app must be installed on your POS system.

Connect the Scanner
Plug the Zebra DS2208 USB cable into your POS system. The scanner powers on automatically and the LED indicator (Position 1) should display a red light.
Scan the Configuration Barcodes
Using the Zebra scanner, scan the configuration barcodes in the following order:
- Factory Defaults
- QR Code Configuration Barcode
Make sure both barcodes scan successfully before proceeding.
Test the Scanner
Open the Facilipay app on your POS system and scan a unique Facilipay QR code (for example, from the mobile app or a physical card). The customer's account should retrieve automatically on screen.

Your Zebra DS2208 scanner is configured to read Facilipay 3D QR codes.
Staff can identify customers, apply loyalty, and process gift card redemptions in seconds.
The configuration is retained even if the scanner is unplugged.

Reset to defaults first: Always scan Factory Defaults before applying the QR Code configuration to avoid carrying over previous settings.
Position the scanner well: Place it within easy reach of staff at the point of sale, with enough space for customers to present cards or phones.
